Our out Full Day King Penguin<\/strong> visits the second largest penguin on the planet. It is a migratory bird that moves from its breeding sites on some sub-Antarctic islands in search of food.<\/p>\n

On the coast of Tierra del Fuego<\/strong> we know that this species of penguins has been a frequent visitor since the time in which the Selknam<\/strong> or Onas <\/strong>natives lived, due to the fact that bone remains of the King Penguin<\/strong> have been found in their archaeological sites.<\/p>\n

Navigation through the Strait of Magellan to Tierra del Fuego and the King Penguin Park<\/h3>\n

Leaving very early in the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel or place of accommodation to go to the ferry that leaves from Terminal Tres Puentes in Punta Arenas<\/strong> to Porvenir<\/strong> on a 2-hour journey through the Strait of Magellan<\/strong>, the largest island in Chile.<\/p>\n

During the navigation<\/strong>, it will be possible to see pelagic birds “high seas” such as petrels<\/strong>, sea lions<\/strong> and dolphins<\/strong>, characteristic fauna of the southern channels.<\/p>\n

City Tour around Porvenir, Capital of Tierra del Fuego<\/h3>\n

The King Penguin Park<\/strong> is a particular conservation and research project for both the King Penguin<\/strong> and the entire area of the park and its surroundings.<\/p>\n

In this place, a team of expert guides await us to give a brief scientific talk. Later we will go to the observation area where we will have a visit time of approximately 1 hour and a half.<\/p>\n
