Appreciate the panoramic beauty of the Strait of Magellan and the Brunswick Peninsula<\/h3>\n

With our Trekking Mount Tarn<\/strong> tour, you will get to know a mountain range approximately 850 meters high, formed by rocks of marine origin. It is located at the southern end of the Brunswick Peninsula<\/strong>, about 70 kilometers south of Punta Arenas<\/strong>. The soil is very humid due to the high rainfall in the region, therefore the climate is typical of Patagonia<\/strong>, temperate, cold, with high humidity.<\/p>\n

Start of the Trekking Mount Tarn<\/h3>\n

The Trekking Mount Tarn<\/strong> begins with the pick-up of the passengers at the hotel, and then we head south to Punta Arenas<\/strong>. On our way, we will pass by Fort Bulnes<\/strong> at kilometer 57, but we will not be able to visit it, since our excursion goes even further south. Upon reaching the beginning of the trail, we will listen to the instructions of our guide and then begin our trek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From the beginning, we will cross a leafy forest with species such as Magallanes coihue<\/strong>, cinnamon<\/strong>, Guaitecas cypress<\/strong>, peat bogs<\/strong> and creeping plants<\/strong>. After approximately 4 hours we will reach the summit of Mount Tarn<\/strong>. From the summit, you will be able to see the Strait of Magellan<\/strong>, the San Isidro lighthouse<\/strong>, the Dawson Islands<\/strong>, Tierra del Fuego<\/strong> and the great Darwin Mountain Range<\/strong>. We will rest and enjoy the views at the top, approximately 30 minutes, before starting our return from our Trekking Mount Tarn<\/strong> along the same path.<\/p>\n

Mount Tarn and Biologist Charles Darwin<\/h3>\n

This route was made by the prestigious scientist Charles Darwin<\/strong> in 1834 together with his team, who also named it Mount Tarn<\/strong>. It was baptized with that name during the second voyage of the Beagle<\/strong> ship by its captain Robert FitzRoy<\/strong>, to celebrate the twenty-fifth birthday of Charles Darwin<\/strong>, on February 12, 1834. In addition to Mount Sarmiento<\/strong> and the entire Brunswick peninsula<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The end time of this activity could be modified due to weather conditions, so we recommend that you do not buy tickets to leave Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales until three hours after the scheduled time for return, or leave your trip for the day following after the end of the tour.<\/p>\n

For December 25 and January 1, the tour could have price and schedule variations.<\/p>\n

Cancellation with a minimum of 48 hours before, 100% refund depending on the payment method. Check the particular conditions of each product in case you have to cancel within a period of less than 48 hours.<\/p>\n

If the passenger does not show up at the times defined for the tour, there will be no refund.<\/p>\n
