On the Navigation Magdalena Island<\/strong>, you will meet the Magellanic penguin<\/strong>, which measures between 50 and 70 cm, is an extraordinary swimmer and spends much of its life in the water. We can find it from Tierra del Fuego<\/strong> to the south of Brasil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There are numerous colonies in Patagonia<\/strong>, highlighting among them the colony found on Magdalena Island<\/strong>. There, more than 150,000 specimens of these friendly penguins<\/strong> gather, which we will meet on our Navigation Magdalena Island<\/strong> tour.<\/p>\n

Sail to Magdalena Island<\/h3>\n

We start this tour with optional hotel pickup. Then the first point to make our excursion is the Prat Pier<\/strong>, located in the city of Punta Arenas<\/strong>. We will embark on a modern tourist catamaran<\/strong> with a wide upper deck for passengers, we will start the Navigation to Magdalena Island<\/strong> to visit the Magellanic or Patagonian penguin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For approximately 1 hour and a half we will enjoy the landscape that will insert us in the Strait of Magellan<\/strong> until we reach Magdalena Island<\/strong>. Once we arrive at the Magdalena Island<\/strong> dock, we will disembark and visit the penguin<\/strong> colony for approximately 1 hour. We will walk until we reach the old lighthouse<\/strong>, from where we will admire a spectacular view of the landscape.<\/p>\n

After this, we embark again but this time to start the return to the Punta Arenas<\/strong> pier. Finally, the passengers are transported to their hotel in the city, as long as they have purchased the Navigation Magdalena Island<\/strong> with transfer. The other passengers are left at the Prat Pier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is very important to keep in mind that this activity can be affected by weather conditions, so it is not advisable to choose the Navigation to Magdalena Island<\/strong> for the last day of your visit to the Patagonia<\/strong>, in order to be able to reschedule the activity if the weather does not allow the boat to sail.<\/p>\n
