In the morning, we will begin the Colonial & Modern City Tour exploring the city of Lima. We will begin with a panoramic view at the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca temple. You will have the opportunity to visit the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Monastery and the Church of San Francisco, with emphasis on the underground crypts known as Catacombs, as well as colonial mansions, among other places. Later, we will explore the residential areas of Miraflores and San Isidro. Return to the hotel with the afternoon free. Night in Lima.<\/p>\n
In the morning, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, you will be received with a warm welcome and transferred to the selected hotel. You will enjoy the morning free to rest and acclimatize. In the afternoon, we will undertake the City Tour of the city of Cusco, visiting the Cathedral, the Koricancha Temple (military and religious center of the Inca Empire dedicated to the main god, the Sun) and four nearby archaeological ruins: the imposing Sacsayhuaman Fortress, the Kenko amphitheater, Tambomachay (Inca baths) and Puca Pucara (military control center). Back to the hotel. Night in Cusco.<\/p>\n
We will begin the excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, exploring the Inca terraces and visiting the towns of Pisac, with its colorful Indian market, Calca, Yucay and Urubamba. You will enjoy a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore Ollantaytambo, an Inca complex with administrative, agricultural and religious functions, as well as the only living Inca city. You will have the afternoon free to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.<\/p>\n
Early in the morning, we will pick up at the hotel and head to the Ollantaytambo station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. You will be welcomed and accommodated at the hotel. You will have the day free to explore the town on your own. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.<\/p>\n
This day we will explore the Inca City of Machu Picchu. At the time coordinated with the guide, we will take the bus that will take us to the sacred city discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. The guided tour will include the urban sector with the main architectural elements of the Inca city, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana, the sacred rock, the Temple of the Three Windows and the mausoleum. The bus will take us back to the town of Aguas Calientes. After the buffet lunch, we will return to Cusco. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Night in Cusco.<\/p>\n
At the scheduled time, transfer to Cusco Airport to board the return flight to Lima and, later, the international flight.<\/p>\n
