Day 1: Welcome to Cusco
Receive a warm reception and welcome upon arrival at Cusco airport, followed by a comfortable transfer to your chosen hotel. Enjoy the morning free to rest and better acclimatize. In the afternoon, we will embark on a City Tour through the charming city of Cusco, exploring the majestic Cathedral and the ancient temple of Koricancha, a site that had an important military and religious role in the Inca Empire, dedicated to the main god, the Sun. . The day will continue with a visit to four notable archaeological sites nearby: the imposing fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the mystical Kenko amphitheater, Tambomachay, known for its ancient Inca baths, and Puca Pucara, a military control center. We will end the day with the return to the hotel to spend the night in Cusco.
Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas
We will begin our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, exploring the typical terraces of the Inca era and visiting charming towns like Pisac, known for its vibrant Indian market full of textiles and colors. The journey will continue through Calca, Yucay and Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, we will go to Ollantaytambo, an impressive Inca complex that fulfilled administrative, agricultural and religious functions. You can admire imposing rock walls, temples and palaces.
Later, we will move to the Ollantaytambo station to board the train to the Town of Machu Picchu. The trip, approximately 2 hours, will take us to this fascinating place. Upon arrival, we will be assisted at the hotel and spend the night in the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes.
Day 3: Wonder of the world “Machu Picchu”
On this day, we will embark on a visit to the Inca City of Machu Picchu. At the time previously agreed with the guide, we will board the bus that will take us to this sacred city that remained hidden for centuries until it was accidentally discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. This Inca center is one of the greatest wonders of the world.
The guided tour of the archaeological site of Machu Picchu will include the exploration of the urban sector, which houses the most outstanding architectural elements of the Inca city. Among them are the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana, the sacred rock, the Temple of the Three Windows, the mausoleum, among others. Later, we will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch.
In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco with reception and transfer to the hotel. We will spend the night in Cusco.
Day 4: The farewell
At the appropriate time, we will go to the Cusco airport to take the flight to Lima or the international flight.
