Description

Be encouraged to cross the border to see the mythical Torres del Paine in Chile from El Calafate Argentina

We will start the tour by picking up our guests at the hotels in the center of El Calafate at 6:30. Then we will embark on an exciting road to the border crossing “Cancha Carrera” through a gravel road, until we finally enter the Republic of Chile.

At the border, we will stop to carry out customs procedures and migrations. Once the procedures are finished, we will meet our guide who will accompany us throughout the adventure. We will continue the road for about 80km towards the National Park where we will enjoy a panoramic view of Chilean Patagonia.

Once inside the Torres del Paine National Park, we will make various stops with descent into lakes, waterfalls, viewpoints, guanaco and fox watching, among others. On board the vehicles, we will visit strategic points, to undertake walks that allow us to access the panoramic viewpoints of the most important natural attractions of the Park.

The programs are armed with walks of low technical difficulty and minimal physical demand, being able, if the group is fit, to carry out more demanding routes. All the walks are carried out in the company of trekking guides and include a box lunch.

One of the trails that we will follow starts from the Salto Grande. There we will undertake, together with the guide, a low difficulty walk of approximately 1:30 hours in total to the Cuernos del Paine viewpoint on the shores of Lake Nordenskjold. Then, back in our vehicle, we will take the road to Lake Pehoé, a last viewpoint, with impressive views of the Cuernos del Paine and the Valle del Francés.

After having marveled at the impressive Torres del Paine and its National Park, we will continue exploring and getting to know the southernmost part of Chilean Patagonia, learning about its flora and fauna on our return to El Calafate. We will be arriving at approximately 9:30 p.m.
