Hacienda 3R – Baguales Horse Sanctuary

Within an area of 6,000 hectares, Hacienda 3R in Sierra Baguales offers the peace and harshness that characterize Patagonia. We invite you to live the experience of making a ride where the technique of “rational dressage” has been implemented for the taming of horses. This technique without violence that helps to reduce the horse’s stress and offers more security to the tamer during the break-in process.

How is the Horseback Riding Sierra Baguales

At Hacienda 3R, we will ride in the mystical Sierra Baguales observinglagoons, meandering rivers, geological formations and fossils that are more than 50 million years old, among other rural tourism activities.

From its hills you can see herds of wild Baguales horses, guanacos, condors and the typical flora and fauna of Patagonia. A wild or Bagual experience that will not go unnoticed on your way through Patagonia, when you visit the Torres del Paine National Park.

Is horseback riding in Sierra Baguales suitable for everyone?

Horseback riding in Sierra Baguales is recommended for riders with some experience, due to the hostile terrain. That is why it is not recommended for people who have never ridden and the minimum age required is 16 years.

What to bring to the horseback riding in Sierra Baguales?

Waterproof mountain shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, hat for the sun, hat and gloves for the cold, short-sleeved and long-sleeved shirts, fleece-type warm clothing and waterproof jacket and pants.

Conditions

Full day or half day tour in regular service.

The places to be visited are subject to change the same day of the tour in case of adverse weather conditions.

The end time of this activity could be modified due to weather conditions, so we recommend that you do not buy tickets to leave Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales until three hours after the scheduled time for return, or leave your trip for the day following after the end of the tour.

Cancellation with a minimum of 48 hours before, 100% refund depending on the payment method. Check the particular conditions of each product in case you have to cancel within a period of less than 48 hours.

If the passenger does not show up at the times defined for the tour, there will be no refund.

Suspension due to weather conditions: Full refund will be made when the company cancels before starting the service.

During the development of the activity, no refund of money is contemplated, in this case because they are factors external to the company.

If there is compensation for a special situation, it will be agreed with the people, and will be defined by the development of the travel program.
