The Full Day Pali Aike visits the national park located about 196 km from Punta Arenas. This place is perfect for lovers of natural sciences, for its geological formations and for those who like trekking.
With an area of 5,030 hectares, its unique landscape is home to a variety of flora and fauna species typical of the arid steppe Patagonian environment. Its greatest attractions are its terrain covered by basaltic lava, which determines its geological characteristics and the life that lives there.

Leaving Punta Arenas, with our Full Day Pali Aike Park you will do a trekking of approximately 3 hours to see all the places of interest in the park.
Among the main attractions, we highlight the Pali Aike Cave, where evidence of inhabitants of the Magellan area has been found. However, other unmissable points are the Escorial del Diablo, La Morada del Diablo Crater, Pozos del Diablo and Ana Lagoon.

Just like a lunar landscape, you will be impressed with the geological formations of this beautiful place. Due to 3 periods of strong eruptions, most of the terrain is volcanic lava, dominated by cones and basaltic lavas.
12,000 years ago the first humans arrived at this site, occupying some areas as a shelter. In addition to living with the mega fauna of the time, some of these animals served as food for humans.
It should be noted that Pali Aike means desolate place or place of evil spirits, in the Tehuelche (aonikenk) language. For this reason, its lands are full of stories, starring prehistoric animals such as the mylodon, Aonikenk natives, explorers, ranchers and scientists.

The end time of this activity could be modified due to weather conditions, so we recommend that you do not buy tickets to leave Punta Arenas until three hours after the scheduled time for return, or leave your trip for the next day after finished the tour.
For December 25 and January 1, some of the excursions may not be carried out or may have an increase in price.
