Description

As one of the new Trekking is listed, the Trekking Ferrier Hill is a completely different experience that comes to enrich alternatives to the unusual routes and thus be able to explore the different points of view offered by the Torres del Paine National Park, holder of unforgettable landscapes in the Chilean Patagonia.

A hard ascent awaits you, but it is worth offering completely different views from the usual ones that can be seen in Torres del Paine National Park, in our desire to provide different options to our clients, we work to promote unique experiences.

Ferrier Hill belongs to the Patagonian Andes mountain formation. Located in the western sector of the Torres del Paine National Park and in the peripheral surroundings of the Southern Ice Field. It has three summits: the largest is 1,599 meters (South summit), the Northeast summit is 1,499 meters, and the Northwest is 1,451 meters.

We will begin the trekking, which takes an average of 5 hours round trip along a steep path of medium-high difficulty, accompanied throughout the journey by experienced guides who help us follow the well-signposted path, which goes into the heart of Ferrier Hill.

You will travel a majestic path through a coigüe forest, the natural habitat of many endemic birds that inhabit the region and also of the Huemul, emblematic national deer, one of the most beautiful and elusive species that inhabit the National Park.

Once at the viewpoint you will be able to appreciate one of the most complete views of the Torres del Paine National Park, as well as the Zapata and Grey glaciers belonging to the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Being at the viewpoint we will have time to rest, have lunch and recover energy.

We will start the return along the same path until we return to the vehicle that is waiting for us, we make a stop in the sector Camping Pehoé to continue with a minitrekk of approximately one hour until reaching the Condor Viewpoint, a place where it is possible to take panoramic photographs with the best views of the Paine Horns and the Lake Pehoé from the height.

After the walk we will stop again at the Salto Grande Viewpoint to observe and photograph the impressive waterfall, later we will start another minitrekk to the Nordensköld Viewpoint to appreciate a view of the lake and the Paine Massif from its east face.

To end the day, we cannot fail to go to the Amarga Lagoon Portería sector, to obtain the last postcard of our tour with the best point of view of the granite towers that give the Park its name.

After a well-spent day, we headed back to the city of Puerto Natales so that you can enjoy excellent gastronomy in its varied culinary offer, rest and prepare for the next day.
